Now, let's get down to figuring out this family thing.
Now that's contentment.
One week old.
Well, after many frustrating days, the hospital finally opened my cell and allowed me to come home. I have kept down everything I have eaten and feel no nausea! I am so happy to be home with my little girl and back sleeping...some...in my own bed! Praise the Lord for His amazing blessings! Here are a few pictures of my coming home. We went a little nuts with the camera because we had been gone so long.
We are enjoying Miss Emma everyday. She is truly a blessing. I am having some complications from the c-section so I am back in the hospital. Just pray that I will recover soon so I can be home with this beautiful girl! Enjoy these pictures.
Everyone is doing fine today. Emma loves to sleep! I was able to get up and get a shower today, so I feel much better. We will probably be going home tomorrow. We will send more pictures later. Thanks for all your love and prayers.
Emma Grace arrived on Monday, August 11, 2008. She weighed in at 6 lbs. 10 oz. and 18 3/4 inches long. We are all doing fine. Bryan is a wonderful doting father. Here are some pictures.
Well, the plan is to go into the hospital on Sunday evening. Monday is will have a new baby that will actually come home with us and share a house with us. We will have to take care of her and she will always be ours. My mind is constantly swirling. I am so excited to meet her but there is also a creeping nervousness that goes with that excitement. The house is ready, but are we? That is the real question that I don't think I can really answer.
Baby shower fun in Memphis! Valerie made fun baby balloons.
A full nine months pregnant! Waiting for Emma. Baby shower games. Here I am diapering a doll blindfolded. I may be niave, but I hope I don't need this skill. A couple of pictures of Emma's room. We are all ready!
We are anxiously awaiting the birth of our first child, Emma Grace, with much excitement and trepidation. We have all of the baby things filling our house to maximum capacity, but we still cannot wrap our brains around the fact that we will have a new member of our family very soon. Prayers for wisdom beyond our capacity go up constantly. God must be helping me practice the coming middle of the night rude awakenings by forcing me to get up 3 times during the night to go to the bathroom. Welcome to our blog. I hope it will be entertaining and informative. There will be pictures to come.
