An Unbelieveable Seven Weeks

What a smile!

Is this face cute enough for you?

What is that thing with the flash and how does it work ? ( I believe she is learning at about a mile a minute. She may have the world figured out by the time she is five.)

Bundled up for her first servant evangelism outing - giving out drinks at the transit mall with the Elk Valley mission group.

Being loved on and cuddled by Grandpa

I can't believe it has been seven weeks since we brought this beautiful baby home.We have had seven weeks filled with dirty diapers, spit up, mid-night feedings, late night baths, millions of bottle washings, loads and loads of baby clothes, and one beautiful delightful little girl.We are continually amazed that she is ours . She is starting to respond more to us. We have had glimpses of smiles lately. She is starting to sleep longer also, going down about 11:00 and sleeping til 5:00 or 5:30. We love to just sit around and stare at her. I may not be able to just pick up and leave the house when I want to or be greeted by someone before they coo at Emma first, but the quality of my life has greatly improved with the addition of our wonderful Emma. Our lives will never be the same and we praise God for it.I wouldn't trade anything in the world for the spit-up and dirty diaper filled days I am now living. Emma is our joy and she completes our family perfectly. Thank you God for a beautiful, healthy girl.

Baby of a thousand faces

We're thinking about sending this one to a modeling agency - and this face without make-up.

Hey, hey, how ya doin? Mom should never have given me that last shot of coffee!!!

YOU!! Why!?! Why did you wake me up? Remind me? It better be good!
Fun with Grandpa! Love that WV mist!

Sometimes I just sit with the camera and wait for a face. Emma makes us laugh and takes our breath away with the faces she can make. We just sit and watch her for hours-better than tv Emma. Grandpa (my dad) has come to visit this weekend and we are enjoying spending time with him. Enjoy a good chuckle and an "oh my, that's a good picture" as you peruse these recent pictures.

What is she thinking?

Where did that lady go and what am I supposed to be doing here? Does she know I just pooped?

They should have known all I needed was some leg time.

Why do they do this to me every night? Get undressed, go lay in a bowl full of water, and be scrubbed down. How long is this going to last?

Ummm. That kinda feels good. Good job, Dad!

I wonder if she wears a wig? Her hair looks awefully funny. What is that woman doing now?

Have you ever looked at a baby and wondered what was going on inside their head? I have to wonder every day. Does she like where she has been put? Does she think I am doing a good job taking care of her? Maybe the formula smells? Does the diaper pinch? Can she hear all of us talking about her big feet and get offended? What bib is her favorite? Does she have bad dreams? If so, what about? Dirty diapers, empty stomach? Does she get tired of sleeping but bored of being awake? Does she secretly laugh when she wakes up and sees my crazy hairdo? Was she confused when Daddy came home with a new haircut? There are so many things I wish she could communicate. But I am enjoying the silence of babble while it lasts. Once it starts, I know, we will never get a break!
